The store continues to sell during the inventory period. If the last quantity is directly compared with the current inventory, the transactions during the period will also be regarded as differences. The inventory needs to clarify the time point, scope and business processing methods. Different categories can be arranged in batches, but each batch should retain a snapshot at the beginning and changes during the period, so employees know which status they are checking.
Difficulties in actual use
The inventory sheet records the goods, units, locations and actual quantities, leaving traces for the first entry and review respectively. If the difference is large, first check the unit, unfinished receipts and period sales before deciding to adjust. Adjust the inventory basis associated with approval and do not directly change the balance manually. When multiple people are taking inventory at the same time, allocate areas or products to avoid repeated entries; duplicate entries must also be verified when importing results.
How to arrange functions and responsibilities
For example, if there is an allocation before the inventory but the goods have not been received, you can first make sure that it is in transit rather than shelf inventory. When two items are sold during the period, the system will convert it to the same point in time based on the transaction record, and then check it with the actual offer. The example is just an explanation method. Actual stores may use closing inventory or controlled dynamic inventory.
Check the processing results item by item
- Acceptance inspection includes cross-day inventory, partial submission, unit conversion and review modification.
- The unfinished range is displayed in the background, and products with a small quantity are not regarded as zero inventory.
- After the inventory is completed, save the cause and processing records of the differences, and analyze whether repeated differences come from the receipt, sales or loss process.
- It is helpful to be able to play faster, but it is more important to be able to explain the quantity and have a basis for adjustments.
Verification and Continuous Maintenance
Inventory discrepancy analysis is classified by product and operation link, rather than directly treating the discrepancy as employee responsibility. For recurring problems, first check the receipt, unit and equipment records, confirm the facts and then arrange improvements. System data provides clues and cannot replace investigation.
