Live broadcast failures sometimes come from small preparation omissions, such as selecting the wrong audio source, the sharing window being blocked, or the presenter not having hosting rights. Joint debugging needs to cover the complete viewing link before going online.
Start from the needs
Check push flow, sound, picture, interaction, registration and playback settings respectively, prepare backup network and switch contacts; use the same entrance as the audience for testing.
Things that should be paid attention to in the design
For example, when the presenter shares the demo page, arrange another device to confirm whether the text can be read clearly on the mobile phone; different roles check their own buttons and not only verify the administrator account.
For example, handle it like this
Record each result, person in charge and exception handling method, and re-confirm the changes before the activity; explain who will notify the audience when the drill switches to avoid simultaneous operations by everyone.
Check the processing results item by item
- Joint debugging should use the device and account that is planned to be officially adopted, not just check whether the player is open on the developer’s computer.
- The performance of the mobile phone in vertical screen, horizontal screen and weak network can be checked separately. Demonstrations with a lot of text may need to adjust the font size or switch to step-by-step explanation.
- The alternative plan should clearly define the switching conditions: who will judge, who will execute, and what prompts the audience will receive.
- Registration links, viewing portals and replay switches can easily be brought into the old settings by copying the previous event, so the event number and time should be checked.
- Key personnel can keep a short list of operations and perform them according to their responsibilities when exceptions occur.
- After completing the drill, record the unresolved issues and confirm which ones must be dealt with before going on air.
Check the processing results
The joint debugging checklist should try to record the actual results instead of just passing the check. You can attach a short note to see if the sound is clear and the subtitles are readable. You will also know which settings need to be checked the next time you use the same device.
