Pension expenses involve charging items, applicable dates and subsequent adjustments. Although it is simple to directly modify the bill total, it will make it impossible for the staff to explain why the expenses of a certain month have changed. The project rules and the current bill need to be clearly related.

Charging items

First sort out the service items, billing cycles and business confirmation methods. A charge name may contain different calculation rules, and the system should manage rule versions to avoid staff manually interpreting the same charge every time.

Bill verification

The bill should be related to the service period and project source, and support viewing of the reasons for adjustment. When there is a discrepancy in the amount, the verification portal must be able to trace the relevant business records, and cannot only display the final total without details.

Change records

Discounts, refunds and recharges are business actions that need to be explained, and the basis and handler should be recorded. Specific rules are subject to the process confirmed by the institution. Technology development cannot determine the charging method or automatically commit to fee standards for the institution.

Scenario verification

You can prepare a sample bill with adjustment items and check whether the original charge record, adjustment basis and final details correspond. Clearly explaining the reason for the change in the amount is easier to manage than simply providing a button to modify the total.

Specific verification method

After updating the charging items, query the generated bills and check whether the old details retain the original basis; add a fee adjustment and check the amount, reason and project relationship; recalculate the total from the details, and check whether repeated submission of adjustments results in duplicate charging records.

The charging rules are responsible for explaining the calculation basis, and the bill is responsible for presenting the current results. Adjustments are kept on separate records, both to facilitate reconciliation of current amounts and to explain differences between original and final charges.
