Model substitution affects return formats, tool requests, and unexpected behavior. The unified business interface helps reduce page migration costs, but just because the page can display text does not mean that tool calls and source references still comply with the original rules, and replacement requires independent verification.

Capability requirements

First distinguish text generation, data retrieval, image understanding and tool calling requirements, and then select an interface. The capabilities and limitations of different models require consulting current official information, and applicable scenarios cannot be determined based on the name alone.

Interface encapsulation

Properly separate model call parameters from business processes, record errors, timeouts and return format checks. Unified encapsulation facilitates maintenance, but the actual differences between different interface capabilities still need to be preserved.

Migration Verification

After replacing the model, retest the key scenarios, source references, and tool parameters. It cannot be assumed that the request can be sent, which means that the business behavior is consistent. Resource requirements and costs should also be verified against actual calls.

Scenario verification

Interface replacement can be tested in an independent environment first, and then the return format and behavior can be verified using the same business sample. Existing pages do not need to be changed, which does not mean that tool calls, references or error handling can completely follow the original rules.

Specific verification method

Use the same set of samples to check the structured fields of the new model; tool parameters have been verified by the execution service; there are stable error feedbacks for timeout and current limiting; references can be returned to valid sources, and when the original business page remains unchanged, it is also necessary to check that the back-end behavior does not expand the execution scope or lose records.

The interface is stable and the location of changes is reduced, and migration is still based on business behavior verification. Clarify the model dependencies and adaptation scope so that subsequent replacements can know which rules can be retained and which must be re-validated.
