Answers with quotes do not mean that every sentence is supported by the source. RAG application needs to check the relationship between key conclusions and specific paragraphs. When the source only covers part of the business, the scope of the answer should also be limited and cannot be extended to conclusions for all situations.

Reference object

The answer should be related to the actual document paragraph or record used, showing the source name and necessary positioning information. Listing a data title does not mean explaining the basis for each conclusion. You need to check whether the reference and the answer content correspond.

Lack of evidence

When the search results are insufficient to answer the question, it can prompt that the data is missing or guide further confirmation. Just because the Q&A interface requires complete answers, we cannot require the model to freely complete information that is not provided.

View permissions

Reference links still need to implement data access restrictions, and users can only see authorized content. When the source is invalid or the version is updated, there should be an explanation to avoid links from old answers pointing directly to new documents with different meanings.

Scene check

Citation check can match the key statements in the answer to the source content one by one. When the source only discusses a certain scope, the answer should not be extended to the entire enterprise business; content for which no basis can be found should clearly indicate the need for further confirmation.

Specific verification methods

Check the key statements and source paragraphs in the answer one by one; ask questions that are not covered by the data, and check whether there is a clear indication that there is no basis; refer to the link to verify the current authority; look back at the applicable time after the source is updated, and avoid taking historical explanations as current general rules.

Quotations are used to facilitate verification and should not just be used as decoration at the end of the answer. The conclusions must maintain a corresponding relationship with the data. If the basis cannot be found, return it to the business personnel for confirmation. Only then can the Q&A results be used reasonably in actual work.
