Late recording of meter reading records, meter failure and meter replacement may affect the current usage. If the system only saves the current reading minus the previous reading, a negative number may appear after changing the meter, and additional entries may also change the confirmed bill. The park energy consumption module should retain the complete relationship between meters and readings.

How to arrange records and operations

Manage meter number, installation position, magnification and start and stop time separately. When changing the meter, record the ending reading of the old meter and the starting reading of the new meter, and summarize them by period. Abnormal readings need to be reviewed, and manual estimates are marked separately and the basis is explained. When the bill needs to be corrected after confirmation, an adjustment record is generated and does not overwrite the original bill.

The reading record also saves the meter reading time, registration time and source, with photos or equipment information as the corresponding basis. The effective time of the magnification change should be noted, and the new magnification cannot be applied to all historical readings. When a shared meter is allocated to multiple tenants, record the proportion or basic amount used and the confirmation method. If the supplementary reading affects the unconfirmed bill, it will be re-tried. If it affects the confirmed bill, the difference will be processed according to the rules. Tenants can distinguish actual usage, estimated usage and subsequent adjustments when viewing bills, preventing one total from covering up different bases.

Specific scenarios that need to be checked

For example, if the meter is replaced within the same lease period, the acceptance check will see whether the two periods of consumption are correctly connected. Test readings can be reversed, repeated acquisitions and missed acquisitions can be recorded, and abnormal prompts can be viewed. The tenant query page displays the reading period and billing basis for easy verification, instead of just displaying an unexplained amount.
