After the warehouse completes the review, the goods may still be waiting for handover on the platform. If the WMS outbound event directly completes the TMS order, the transportation status will be distorted. The two systems must jointly agree on the handover point, making it clear who will confirm the loading and who will record the departure and delivery.
How to arrange records and operations
Connect orders, packaging numbers and delivery details, submit the handover status to the warehouse, and confirm the actual received quantity on the shipping side. Differences will be entered into the verification process of both parties, and records of changes will be retained when packaging is replaced or added. The interface has a stable identification and retry mechanism, and the transportation status is advanced according to the execution node.
The handover details can use the packaging number to connect the warehouse review and transportation reception, and then record the dispatch after the loading is completed. When damaged packaging or quantity discrepancies are found, both parties will save their respective confirmation opinions and processing results, and will not directly change the original outbound data in either system. Goods that have been shipped out of the warehouse but have not yet been handed over have a clear location, and the receiving list can be checked on site. When the transportation task is returned to the warehouse, a new receiving relationship is established to avoid simply rolling back the old handover status and losing the transportation process that has occurred.
Specific scenarios that need to be checked
For example, the warehouse prepares three packages but only actually delivers two, and the test transportation task retains the remaining quantity to be delivered. Covers warehouse revocation, interface timeout and duplicate confirmation. Both systems can find the other party’s order number, which facilitates on-site personnel to check along the records without relying on copying chat screenshots to explain the handover process.
