When suppliers deliver goods at the same time, queuing at the platform and waiting by receiving personnel may alternate. If the appointment function only records one date, it will be difficult to arrange on-site resources. Planned arrival, actual arrival and start of unloading should be distinguished to let the warehouse know which operation the resources are occupied.

How to arrange records and operations

The appointment record is associated with the delivery order, estimated cargo volume and special processing requirements, and the time slot and platform are allocated after confirmation. Arriving late or early will enter the on-site adjustment queue and will not automatically crowd out existing appointments. The receiving task is generated from the arrival information. The actual quantity still needs to be verified on site, and the reserved quantity cannot be copied directly.

The reservation period can be set with available resources and special conditions, such as the need for a cold chain platform or independent unloading equipment. The estimated shipment volume is used for preparation and does not directly become the receipt document. During on-site adjustments, the current occupancy status will be displayed first, and then the designated personnel will confirm the new arrangements. After the supplier cancels the reservation, the generated job tasks should be processed according to the actual status. Appointment records correlate actual arrival and departure times, allowing warehouses to see where the wait occurred without classifying all delays as late deliveries.

Specific scenarios that need to be checked

During the test, arrange for two batches of goods to arrive at the same time to check platform conflicts and task transfers. Goods that have been unloaded but have not been inspected should be kept in corresponding inventory status. After the supplier modifies the reservation, the warehouse can see the change range to avoid preparing workers based on the old quantity.
