Full warehouse inventory needs to be arranged centrally, but daily differences may accumulate between two inventory counts. Cycle counting can be checked step by step by location or material, but the entry and exit of the warehouse during the inventory must be processed, otherwise the physical objects seen by the counter and the system cut-off quantity are not at the same point in time.
How to arrange records and operations
After selecting the inventory range, agree on freezing or dynamic verification rules. Inventory records include the time point, personnel and actual measured quantity, and the review and initial inventory are kept separately. Discrepancy processing first checks the operations during the period, and then decides to make additional entries or adjust inventory. The counter does not directly obtain the authority to adjust all inventory.
The cycle count list should indicate the scope and basis for task generation, such as location, material, or recent differences. Whether entry and exit are allowed during the inventory process needs to be stipulated separately for different operating methods. When continuing the operation, the inventory snapshot and the movement record during the period are used together for verification, and the later inventory balance cannot be directly compared with the earlier actual count. Reviewers do not need to see the book numbers before entering them, so as to reduce the need to fill in the numbers according to the system. A processing document will be formed after the difference is confirmed, and the inventory submission itself does not directly change the inventory.
Specific scenarios that need to be checked
For example, if a warehouse transfer occurs during the inventory, the system should prompt the relevant records and explain the change in the cut-off quantity. Acceptance covers repeated inventory counts, missing inventory locations and task cancellations. Managers can judge whether the work has been completed by looking at the inventory coverage and non-review differences, rather than just seeing the submitted form.
