The Internet of Things project not only has access protocols, but also arranges maintenance after the equipment is disconnected, relocated and deactivated. The control request has been sent, which does not mean that the field device has been executed. The platform needs to distinguish between request, reception and completion status.

Docking list

First confirm the device model, communication method and available data fields, and check the corresponding official information. The capabilities supported by the device may be different from the functions the project hopes to achieve and need to be verified during the testing phase.

Operating status

The platform should be able to distinguish between normal collection, offline and data delays, and keep equipment maintenance records when necessary. Only digital charts have no connection status, making it easy for people to misuse data that has stopped updating.

Control Boundary

If remote operations are involved, authorization, execution confirmation and failure feedback should be discussed separately. The interface showing that the operation has been submitted does not mean that the device has been executed, and unverified results cannot be written as actual completion.

Scenario verification

The device control test should distinguish three facts: request issuance, device reception and execution completion. When there is a disconnection or device rejection, the platform needs to show the true status and keep records that the responsible person can continue to verify.

Specific verification method

Save sending and execution feedback separately when controlling the device; the network is disconnected midway, and the unfinished action of the check will not be displayed as successful; the retry check after recovery will not be repeated; after the device is replaced, the historical instructions still correspond to the original device, and the feedback content at that time can be found.

Control status is based on confirmable device feedback. The exception page retains event and inspection entries so that on-site personnel can decide whether to continue waiting, manually check, or resend controlled instructions.
