Billing is based on distance, weight, volume or route agreement, and each has applicable conditions. If all orders are recalculated according to the latest rules after the contract is updated, there will be unexplained changes in the old bills. TMS freight accounting needs to save the rules and basic data adopted by the order.
Uploading a photo of the receipt does not mean that all goods have been delivered normally. The consignee may receive only part of the package, or may indicate damage or shortage. The TMS return process should allow the voucher to correspond to the actual results, and abnormal matters should be subject to subsequent processing instead of being marked as completed.
A location is displayed on the map, and it is easy to think that it represents the current location of the vehicle. Positioning may be affected by network, terminal status, or interface latency. The TMS in-transit page should clearly indicate the location, time and data source, and treat no update as a status that needs to be verified.
After the dispatch plan is released, vehicles, carrier resources or loading conditions may change temporarily. Changing the resource number directly will cause the previous confirmation to lose association with the voucher. The TMS should retain the change process so that the site knows which arrangements are valid and which requirements need to be re-examined.
The shortest route on the map may not be suitable for actual transportation. Loading and unloading times, delivery windows, vehicle vehicle restrictions and cargo characteristics can all change routing options. The TMS line function should clarify which conditions must be met and which goals can be optimized when conditions permit.
One cargo owner's order may be transported in separate trucks, or one truck may contain multiple orders. If the TMS only has one order number and one train number, actual scheduling has to rely on remarks. Transportation requirements, cargo details and execution tasks should be managed hierarchically, supporting splitting and merging without losing the source.
If all suppliers, all categories and all processes are switched at the same time, the problems will be superimposed on each other, making it difficult to determine whether the data, permissions or business agreement are unclear. The scope of the trial run should cover a complete process and also include common exceptions. You cannot just select the smoothest order.
When partners add fields or change units, the interface may still return success, but the business data has different meanings. Supply chain integration can not only monitor whether the request is smooth, but also verify the field definition and actual value, and suspend risky processing when changes are found.
Inventory below a fixed threshold does not necessarily lead to out-of-stock, and inventory above the threshold may not satisfy recent orders. Supply chain early warning should combine demand dates, available inventory and effective in-transit, so that personnel know which materials are missing and which tasks are affected.
Purchase reconciliation often uses multiple forms for back-and-forth confirmation, and it is difficult to know which one is valid until the final modification. The supply chain system needs to organize differences according to orders, receipts and settlement matters, so that both parties can communicate around the same business and leave a confirmation version.
Supply chain collaboration requires partners to see inventory related to their business, but it does not necessarily require disclosing all inventory, customer orders and costs. The sharing scope should be defined according to the purpose of cooperation, and internal inventory pages cannot be directly opened to external accounts.
The same overall score may come from consistent delivery, or from chance results in a small number of orders. Supplier evaluations are difficult to use in procurement discussions without sample scope and calculation basis. The system should present quality, delivery and service records separately and then display comprehensive rules.
